Wanted: A Man and A Truck
A retired guy with a truck and a big heart is what we are wishing for! Actually he doesn't need to be retired but does need some time to help us collect furniture donations for our end-of-September Annual Rummage Sale. We would be ever-so grateful! Interested? September 28-30 - Annual Tented Rummage Sale
For the Sale, donations are now being accepted on Saturdays, between 9 am - 12:00 noon, at the south end of the building. This extravaganza sale includes new and gently-used items such as clothing, household items, furniture, sporting goods, linens, books, toys and collectibles. If you have questions or want to arrange for donating furniture, call 847-244-1187, ex. 15, and leave a message. Someone from the Second Hand Roses (our Rummage Sale committee) will call you.

Please help us create our special event fundraisers! We need you.

We are planning three spectacular events that raise money to:

  • support Zacharias Center's services which are provided at no cost
  • establish and maintain good community relations

These events are:

  • Women Helping Women luncheon - June 15, 2007
  • LaCASAino Royale at Exmoor Country Club - September 15, 2007
  • Huge Tented Rummage Sale - September 28-30, 2007

We need help with lots of things. Some of them are:

  • Create and make centerpieces, decorations, or party favors
  • Help stuff envelopes or assemble ribboned nametags
  • Make signs or gift certificates
  • Do computer work - data entry, generate 'Thank You' letters
